A: Hosted private branch exchange (hosted PBX) is a telephone exchange system.It is an IP-based telephony solution that is built, delivered and managed by a third-party service provider (Nxatel), and is used within the company.
A: PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange.
A: Because you customise your package, the cost is dependent on what you include in your package.
For example: 3 Wireless lines, a Cordless Phone, a Desk Phone, a Switchboard, an LTE 2 GB Voice router, an LTE 2 GB Data router,and 300 VoIP minutes will cost you a total rental of R1 203 p/m, excl. of VAT.
A: We do not charge you for the Wireless lines, but for their extensions. You can add as many lines as your business needs
A: Yes. We will port your number onto our network and you will keep your number.
A: Number porting is when we move your number onto the Nxatel VoIP network. However, your number remains the same. Number porting nationalizes your number, allowing you to keep it even if you move premises to a different are code.
A: After submitting your porting request, you will be sent a Nxatel Porting Contract and a Paw Paw (Service Provider) Contract. You will be required to sign both contracts and send them to us, including your ID, the number you wish to port and your latest Telkom bill. Our consultants will then verify if you have any outstanding payments to Telkom. Should you owe Telkom any payment you will be asked to settle your account before we can port your number.Once porting has been completed, out technicians will load your number onto our system.
A: All porting happens as soon as you submit all the documents and information required for the porting process. Should you submit all information and documents shortly after your porting request, we will process your porting request on the same day.
A: The porting process may take between 1 – 4 weeks. This will depend on your submission of all documents and information required, as well as settlement of your Telkom account if necessary.
A: You will not be charged for porting your number onto our network.
A: Activation of your system is immediate after the installation is done.
A: All you need is a stable and high speed internet connection. This could be an ADSL, LTE or Fibre router for example.
A: Your system will be offline.
A: Your IP phones will be delivered to you and installed by our technicians within 4-6 weeks after your application.
A: Yes, you can still use your existing IP phones. We will connect them to the system for you upon installation. Please note that our support team will not be able to troubleshoot or configure IP phones purchased from another vendor. We recommend customers take advantage of the simplicity of our pre-configured IP phones.
